Buhari, Aisha, others depart Nigeria For Niamey

President Muhammadu Buhari will depart Abuja, the nation’s capital on Saturday for Niamey, Niger Republic to attend the African Union (AU) Summit, scheduled to hold on July 7. The Peoples Democratic Party has suspended Ndudi Elumelu, the factional minority leader of the House of Representatives. The main opposition made this known on Friday evening in a statement by its national publicity secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan. The party also suspended Wole Oke, Lynda Ikpeazu, Anayo Edwin, Gideon Gwadi, Toby Okechukwu and Adekoya Abdul-Majid. Imo: Ihedioha suspends coronation of monarchs

Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha, has suspended the recognition of 50 autonomous communities created by his predecessor, Senator Rochas Okorocha, just before the end of his government. Governor Ihedioha also suspended all kingship coronation ceremonies in the state with immediate effect.
