Kogi West: Dino Melaye Loses Senate Seat To Smart Adeyemi

Senator Dino Melaye has finally lost his bid for re-election into the Senate from Kogi West on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC Candidate, Smart Adeyemi. Melaye lost to Smart Adeyemi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Saturday’s November 30 senatorial election. Channels TV reports that the returning officer of the election, Professor Olajide Lawal, announced this at the collation centre in Kogi State. Ajegunle Gas Explosion: LASEMA confirms 2 dead, 23 rescued

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has confirmed the death of two people in a gas explosion, which occurred on Thursday. It added that 23 others who were seriously injured were rescued from the explosion that occurred at Aduke Street, Off Ojo Road, in Ajegunle area near Apapa, in Lagos State. Fuel-laden Truck Burst Into Flames on Lagos Bridge

The Lagos Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) says a tanker loaded with 33,000 litres of petrol with registration number KJA-900XR, on Saturday burnt fire on the Otedola Bridge. The Public Affairs Officer of LASEMA, Mr Nusa Okunbor, made the disclosure in a statement in Lagos.
