Finalists have emerged in the first annual Hon. Fatai Adekunle Ayoola Mathematics Competition for Junior and Senior Secondary School Students in Ajegunle Community of Lagos State.

In an examination that lasted two and half hours at Father Sadiku Memorial Nursery and Primary School, Abukuru on Saturday, August 29, 2020, students from over 30 schools thronged the arena to exhibit their mathematical skills.

In a well laid out examination exercise with all Covid-19 protocols on the fore, students were made to answer 25 Objective questions and an option of selecting five questions out of seven in the theory part.

Confidence Efem from Happy World Schools emerged tops with 90 marks while Afolabi David from Tolyfun-Kay College placed second with 65 marks.

In line with his four point agenda amongst which is Education, Hon. Ayoola is set to host the finalists in a  Grand finale that is billed to hold on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the Chairman’s Chamber, Ajeromi-Ifelodun local govern,ent Secretariat where the best three students will go home with N150,000; N75,000 and N50,000 respectively.

It would be recalled that in the month of July, 2020, students were rewarded with their performance in a widely publicized Essay competition funded by Hon. Fatai Adekunle Ayoola.
